Our Mission
Our mission at The Grassy Knoll Farm is to understand the deeper meaning of food in our lives by determining:
While thinking philosophically about food, we also like to have some fun! While being the brunt of many jokes as we entertain our family with antics of "learning how to be farmers", we not only create community around food, but we also educate our family and friends about growing food, raising animals and sustaining the earth. Over the past years, we have been able to share many ideas and thoughts about food and animals: We believe in this small way, we are helping not only sustain ourselves and our families, but also the earth.
- Where does our food really come from?
- How does what we choose to eat affect our health, the health of the land, the community and the environment?
- What food systems are we supporting with what we choose to buy?

Our Vision
The Grassy Knoll Farm is be primarily self sustained, and able to bring produce, meat and hand made product to our family, friends and neighbors. To accomplish this vision, we will continually readdress our mission, and continually learn and grow in farming. As the little duck pictured above, we will look above for sun and rain to sustain our vegetables and animals, and within, to bring our ideas of sustainability to others.
