There are so many wonderful things happening in the garden, there is not enough room on the blog for all of the pictures! Instead, we suggest you check out the farm stand- the green beans are in! Sugar snap beans are finishing up, get your last taste! The squash- both yellow and zucchini are coming in very nicely- incredible harvests late this week mean we end up with baskets full of squash!
Our strawberry preserves are new this weekend in the farm stand- berry's grown right on the farm made into scrumptous preserves. Next, blueberries! The Corn stalks are tall and we can see baby ears of corn; the cantaloupe patch is growing nicely, lots of green tendrils, but, no fruit yet. Tomatoes are popping out on every plant, obviously still green, we must be patient and wait till August! We will have black cherry, sungold, yellow pear in the small tomato variety, and in the large tomato variety we have San Marzanos, Green Zebras, Cosmonauts (slicing tomato), and many other varieties! The animals are all doing well- despite the heat. The hens are still laying, the ducks are as crazy as they always are, and the two roosters (small though they may be) are beginning to drive us crazy! Comments are closed.
