Easy to clean Nesting Boxes

No more dirty eggs! We have built four different egg boxes over the years from simple ones to ones that roll the eggs out, trying to keep the eggs clean, unbroken and uneaten. When trying to keep your birds from eating the eggs, the only thing that you can do is remove the eggs timely, and keep the chickens on a proper diet. unbroken. The best part about these buckets is the ability to easily remove them in seconds. When we have a broken egg or dirty shavings we just left out the bucket and dump the shavings in the compost, rinse with hose if needed and drop it back in with a hand full of shavings. 



Supplies you will need:

The bucket are Feed buckets with a flat spot on one side about $8.00 each at Tractor Supply. 

We used scrap wood and a hand full screws to build the holder for the buckets.

The chickens love the buckets! We often catch them resting inside, sometimes up to 3 chickens in one bucket!

Eggs are kept securely inside the buckets until we collect. We hardly have an issue with broken or dirty eggs any longer!
