6/26/2011 Pear Tree![]() Our tiny pear tree has about 10 pears growing on it! I am so excited to see them grow- and can't wait till I can taste them! I just hope some critter doesn't get to them first. Our cherry tree was promising- lots of cherries- then yesterday we noticed that birds must be feasting because there is barely a cherry left! Oh well, they best not touch my pears! The garden is coming along nicely. This was a wonderful weekend to get out and truly see how things are moving along- did some weeding and garden upkeep. Fortunately, once the garden is planted in the spring, there is little more to do than the general upkeep and keeping ahead of bugs and critters. We failed the cherry tree, but we are definitely keeping an eye on our vegetables! Bumper crop of strawberries again this weekend. We are definitely having strawberries and cream for dessert tonight! Some lucky farm stand shoppers also will be enjoying the sweet taste of summer! Can't wait for the blueberries to start ripening! Comments are closed.
