Rainy Day Work

Some good rainy day work includes canning! For us, Orange Blossom Tomato Salsa and Bread and Butter Pickles. Using

our own Orange Blossom Tomatoes, our own onions and sweet Italian peppers, we created our "Salsa for the Weekend". 
 
Here is the Salsa cooking away on the stove, isn't the orange color beautiful?!

The Orange Blossom Tomatoes are the best early orange tomato. The medium-firm, globe shaped fruits average 6-7 oz, have a nice texture and are mildly flavored, balanced with a little acidity. 

Our Orange Blossoms are coming in very nicely in the green house, and are not only in our salsa, but are also on sale in the Farm Stand. The seeds for the Orange Blossoms were direct from Johnny's Seeds. We will definitely grow this favorite again, the fruits are beautiful!
